Last day of 1st Grade!

Your last day of 1st grade was on Friday, May 31st, 2019.  It was a half-day, if that.  But there was a very-nice awards ceremony, brunch for the parents and kids, and an overall good time had by all.  Lots of laughs and smiles along with a few tears 🙂  You had such an amazing year at school, improved dramatically in all areas and I am so proud of you and what you continue to accomplish.  Mrs. Nagy was such a great teacher, and also became a friend to all of us during the year. I hear that second grade get’s a lot more difficult, but we will be ready!

Nanny and Pappy! Texas Trip!

We went out to Texas to visit Nanny & Pappy, on Friday, May 24th and came back Tuesday, May 28th.  We had such a good time and an action-packed trip!  We went to Urban Air, where you all of a sudden became super-brave!  You were rock-climbing, rode on the ‘Sky Coaster’ – which was like a Zip-line type of ride that took you around the entire building.  I was so surprised you did that!  And you were so proud of yourself!  We also went to the local waterpark and went swimming, rode the waterslides and the lazy river.  We went on a couple of nature walks.  We had a picnic at night by the lake and walked around in the dark looking for fireflies, which we ended up seeing a TON of them!  We went and watched a movie, Aladdin, in the super-nice luxury movie theater with reclining chairs!  We saw Auntie Gloria and Charles as well and ate dinner with them.  And most importantly, you got to spend a lot of quality time with Nanny and Pappy!  🙂

Field Day at School

Field day was on Friday, May 24th, 2019.  Field day is a day that is dedicated to playing games and winning prizes! Your school did such an incredible job of setting up carnival games outside, and a huge variety of prizes you could win.  And you won a lot!  I was there with you the whole day and had so much fun!  There was also a petting zoo, carnival food, bounce-houses, and many other fun things!

Sleepover with Alex!

On Friday, May 17th 2019, you had a sleepover with your friend Alex!  I just found out after talking to her Dad that they live >5 minutes away on the other side of the park.  You had become really good friends with her at school, and now given the closeness of our houses, you girls have been playing a lot together!  Both of you are so similar it’s really funny.  From the high-squeaky voices to the silly dances, you are very much alike.  You had a blast with her when she slept over.  Movies, games, facial-masks and beauty spa, home-made pizza, pillow-fights, bubble-baths, you girls did a lot!
